Hemp in Alaska: A Growing Industry
While recreational cannabis has been legal in Alaska since 2014, the hemp industry (that strain of cannabis with <0.3% THC) was operating under more ambiguous laws that made CBD technically illegal. That is until April 2020, when the state of Alaska implemented the Industrial Hemp Pilot Program in accord with federal regulations already in place.
